Tobi-Dawne comes to photography through a history of traditional art. As a painter and illustrator TD always found herself drawn to the study of life. In University she was praised for her "vibrant brush strokes" and "excellent use of line". During her professional life as an artist she moved more and more into the realm of Canine portraitist, until she reached a point where she began to feel limited by her traditional mediums. That's when she reached for a camera.
TD Yandt is a certified Dog trainer, a mentor trainer with Animal Behavior College, and a member in good standing with the Dog Writers Association of America. As a specialist in Canine behavior TD has a unique view of a dogs world, which translates well into her photography. With a blend of calming signals, and dog language skills she'll charm her way into your pets "circle of trust"... which is where the best captures can be made.

It is always my goal to capture and share the true spirit of my subjects. Dog are honestly my entire life. As both a trainer and photographer I believe I have a unique insight into the lives and motivations of my models. This insight gives me a special opportunity to capture their true nature and share a glimpse with you.
Candid Canines Captured Creatively. That was one heading suggested by a fellow animal lover when they heard I was beginning work on a new website to showcase my Dog photography. I believe it sums up my work as a photographer fairly succinctly.
